Griffin and I were having fun photographing all the natural light that is in our living room since we added two new windows. Normally cardboard turns an unpleasant yellow when you photograph it, but I actually like the light in these. They look great black and white, too, but ultimately I chose colour for these three. They make a cute little “baby in a box” triptych.
Here’s a photo of Griffin in the Natural Playground we built in the park behind our house (more info on our other blog, sleepingforeststudios, for those who are interested.) I just wanted to throw a quick note on here to say that I have updated the web-site to include an F.A.Q. section, under the Info tab. It answers questions like “can I buy a disc of the images?” which I get asked a lot. Oh, we do love this time of year. All that fresh, local produce heaped about – the smells, the sounds, the sights! I can never decide if I like Hennigar’s or Noggin’s best when we travel through Wolfville, but this time we decided to stop in at Hennigar’s and visit with some of their animals. And I happened to have my camera with me, so an impromptu photo shoot was called for!

I got to do a photo shoot with baby Emmett and his beautiful family yesterday. He was a sweety, and stayed awake for most of the shoot, but was quite content with it all. I’m just going through the photos now, and it was hard to pick out some to preview here – they’re such an attractive and photogenic family. And check out those photogenic toes! (I just can’t resist the toes!) Enjoy…

Did a photo session with the Reids and their beautiful family, including brand new baby Morgan. She was sweet as could be, and completely comfortable sleeping through all of our pictures and poses. She is just gorgeous! Here’s a little taste.
