If I had to choose one word to summarize this wedding, it would have to be: Fun. It was many other things as well – sweet, loving, and emotional, but most of all it was just plain fun. I think anyone who was there with us at Ken-Wo Golf Club would agree. I’ve done a couple of weddings with chickens, and left them on my wish list, because I always like a chicken, but this was definitely the first wedding I’ve ever been to with a rubber chicken. I may have to add that to my wish list now, too…
Wow. I have a confession to make. I fall a little bit (ok, a lot) in love with every couple, every family, and every baby I photograph. It’s like I have this giant Photographer’s Heart, that just leaps out of me when I put the camera up to my face. It doesn’t hurt that you and your stories are all so wonderful. I mean, really, it’s pretty much the best job in the world.
Now, Elaine and Steve – they created such a beautiful, awe-inspiring day that it felt like magic. They transformed the world with their love, and I got to be there. I am having trouble finding words to do it justice, so perhaps I’ll just let the photographs speak for themselves…
Paula and Chris chose the Mountain Gap Inn on the shores of the Annapolis Basin for their beautiful July wedding. From the ceremony in the gorgeous, rustic chapel, to the sprays of baby breath, the giant white balloon, and the burger buffet, the day was full of sweet details. Not to mention this beautiful dress, which Paula made for herself. But ultimately it was a day about family – the one you are born into, the one you create as you move into the world, and the one that is born when you celebrate a marriage. We were, as ever, honoured to be a small part of it.
Wow, they are so beautiful! What a great job capturing such a beautiful wedding !!!!

Erica and Kyle could not have chosen a better day for their outdoor ceremony in Annapolis Royal’s Historic Gardens. It was one of those perfect days – a day of sunshine, light filtering through trees, and the slightest, sweetest breeze. Then it was off to the Fort with it’s ancient trees and man-made dramatic hills for our beautiful photo session. I think they might’ve been a little shy at first, but it didn’t take them long to forget all about me, and just let their love shine through. And that, oh that, is always when I am reminded that I have the best job on the planet. We had a nice long portrait session, then it was off the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre for another treat. Delicious food, happy company, beautiful decor, and gorgeous people – what more could a happy photographer ask for? Well, maybe a sunset. And a kiss. 🙂
Such beautiful pictures and a very lovely couple … what a great day they had … you’ve captured it all!
Chelsea and Cody invited me out to their family cottage for their engagement photo shoot, and introduced me to a part of the province I hadn’t seen yet. And what a beautiful part it is! As you can see, in true Nova Scotia fashion, we had rain, and sun, and more rain, and more sun. I couldn’t think of a more perfect spot to photograph these two, and look how cute they are! I’m so looking forward to the Big Day!
