Check out these oh-so-sweet pictures of baby Nicholas and family. Nicholas’ Mommy and Daddy told me that he normally sleeps all day, but he was quite alert for most of our session. Some babies look a little less cute when they are awake – they make funny expressions, or sometimes have crossed eyes. Nicholas, on the other hand, was full of sweet smiles and obligingly looked right into my camera. I couldn’t have asked for more! There’s something about newborn sessions that really makes me feel awe. I’m awestruck by the love, by the excitement, and by the feeling of connection that happens when a new baby arrives and creates a new family. I’m awestruck, every time, by the trust that is placed in me to capture all these things with my camera, and, more than that, to get a glimpse into the truth of each family.
