My husband, Jai, works on the Bookmobile here in the Annapolis Valley (yes, it is the coolest job ever – right after photographer, of course!) He recently helped to host a kite flying workshop in Bear River, and ended up bringing home a kite of his own. It was the perfect sunny, slightly windy day for a test flight, so off we went. It was the first time Griffin had ever flown a kite, but we’ve been reading “Stuck” by Oliver Jeffers to him for a few weeks now, so he got the idea right away. And we only got stuck in the tree once – no rhinos involved, nor firemen – more’s the pity!
It’s not on the official list, but it’s certainly a summer moment I am going to love looking back on, so I think I’ll add it!
What a neat kite! A cutie you have!
